Ernest Convento grew up in the Los Angeles area with experiences in education and design throughout the local area and abroad.
After completing his degree at the Southern California of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in 2005 he worked with a general contractor for a short time before transitioning to the non-profit affordable housing world with Abode Communities (formerly the Los Angeles Community Design Center). He was with the same company for 19 years, starting as an intern an evolving to a Project Manager, gaining experience in renovations and new construction in multiple areas of non-profit housing, larger-scale residential construction, and smaller-scale tenant improvement commercial work.
Overall, his experience includes multi-family residential, community spaces, educational facilities, clinic facilities, and commercial tenant improvements.
